Engineers & Technicians
Our Service team comprises of skilled engineers and technicians who are meticulously trained and well versed with all our OEM products. Most of our engineers have been educated and certified by reputable Indian engineering colleges, allowing them to solve most technical issues/crises experienced on board a vessel.
Our team of over 45 engineers, all English speaking and well trained in their individual fields of expertise, are able to perform a series of challenging and difficult technical jobs. They are based strategically at all our branches and head office, hence ensuring timely and cost effective attendance on board a vessel.
To ensure that no customer call goes unattended, we usually ensure that all Senior Engineers have a Junior Engineer as “back-up” or “stand-by” to their vessel attendance. Therefore, if an engineer is held up on board a vessel, or an emergency arises, the back-up engineer will attend the initial customer call, as planned.
Our engineers are not vertically integrated and are taught how to use and operate a series of equipments ranging from Furuno, Japan to Intellian, Korea and ACR, USA.
We also have a team of technicians who accompany the engineer as and when required on board a vessel. They spend most of their time in our workshop, repairing various spares, testing retrofit equipment and refurbished spares.
We believe in sending our Senior Engineers to the OEM for training and certification since education is very highly valued at Moloobhoys. We also invite all our OEMs to our campus for workshop and training inspection.
Lastly, we have an in-house travel agency that works exclusively with various airlines and travel agents ensuring that all engineer travel tickets and visas are organized in a systematic and timely fashion so that Customer Service is not compromised at any given time.
