History of Moloobhoys

A. S. Moloobhoy and Sons has believed in one mission statement that was translated to our motto upon which our entire foundation is based on: indubitable dedication to ensuring complete customer satisfaction with every transaction. Initially, Moloobhoys was a ship breaking and general ship-chandelling firm affiliated with serving customers on a contractual basis.

Recognized as a brand name in the Indian Marine niche market, Moloobhoys was facilitated several times and awarded certificates of merit from companies such as The Anchor Line, Cunard White Star, Mazagon Dock (M. D. L.), The Shipping Corporation of India, Steam Navigation Company and H.M.I. Naval Dockyard to name a few. During the Second World War, Moloobhoys made its mark in world history by serving multiple segments of the armed forces and was consequently awarded a ‘Certificate of Efficiency’ from the H.M. Victualling Depot. An achievement that even a century later, we are still very proud of.

However, more than resting on our laurels, the firm has always believed in autonomous management techniques and expansion. We are and have always been a zero debt company. Now with over one hundred years of an impeccable track record in serving the marine industry in India, the firm aspires to provide products and services of international standards; to cater to the stringent and growing need in the region for proactive, reputable, competent and reliable companies, holding ready stocks of goods, equipment and essential spares in country.
