Commercial Activities

ASM comprises of well fortified departments and its commerical activities are:-

  • Supply of Life Saving & Fire Fighting equipment.
  • Supply of Drew Marine Chemicals and gases (Oxygen & Acetylene) onboard vessels - to both foreign-going vessels from ASM's bonded warehouses and to coastal vessels from ASM's general warehouses.
  • Supply of Donaldson Filters
  • Providing Logistics Support to Castrol; for the supply of its marine grade lubes on board vessels.
  • Sale of Electronic Equipment - ASM is the exclusive distributor of Furuno equipment in India.
    ASM normally has the following equipments ex-stock:
    1. GMDSS Equipment - FM-8800S, FS-1570, FS-2570 with NBDP, Felcom 15 NX700A, ACR EPIRB 2774, ACR SART PATHFINDER 3, Saracom 2 Way R/T.
    2. A.I.S. - FA-150
    3. Radars - X Band & S Band, FAR-2127 series, FAR-2827 series.
    4. Fleet 77 - Felcom 70
    5. SVDR floatfree type - Maris S.V.D.R.
    and other electronic equipments.
  • Servicing of Electronic Equipment.
    ASM has a team of 15 trained engineers to supply, install and commission electronic communication and navigation equipment onboard vessels.
  • Sale & Servicing of EPIRB / SARTS
    ASM has the largest market share in this business segment in India and has D.G. approved Service Stations strategically located; all along the Indian coast. ASM has the required infrastructure & trained engineers to carry out the servicing; duly certified by the M.M.D. Officier.
  • Lifeboat & Launching Appliances
    ASM has a D.G. approved workshop. It also has OEM trained engineers and technicans to offer onboard servicing and repair for Lifeboats and Davits.
