Four Generations of the Moloobhoys
As the fourth generation of A. S. Moloobhoy and Sons, a company initiated by my great grandfather, that is over a hundred years old – my vision for Moloobhoys is one of growth, development and internal expansion.
My “Bachelor of Arts” Degree is in Communication, with a double Minor in Advertising from the Annenberg School of Communication at the University of Southern California, in Los Angeles. My responsibilities therefore cater predominantly to the advertising, public relations, press and media departments in addition to monitoring the overall functioning of HR, Admin and IT.
I aspire to launch my company into the luxury yachting industry within the next few years, and to expand Moloobhoy’s scope of service and supply to Indian and International yacht owners. In my perception, the scope of tapping into this unchartered territory of luxury and exposing an Indian target market to a traditional yachting culture is potentially futuristic.
Living amongst the great Indian Peninsula with a coastline of approximately 7,000 kilometres, I would like to lead Moloobhoys into the luxury boating market of sport and pleasure while simultaneously contributing to the advancement of this culture within the Indian Marine Fraternity and our overall desi community.

"Someone's sitting in the shade today because someone planted a tree a long time ago." Warren Buffett.
Being the fourth generation standard-bearer of a century old company like A.S. Moloobhoy and Sons is both an honor as well as a great responsibility, but one that I am excited and charged to take on.
I believe that the crux of every business is finance; and it is this belief that motivated me to obtain a Bachelors in Business Administration (BBA) with concentrations in Finance and Business Management from the Goizueta Business School at Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia. I sincerely hope that my formal education coupled with my family history will help me take this company forward.
My vision for a company like A.S. Moloobhoy and Sons is one of continuous and sustained growth. I acknowledge that high growth in a hundred year old company is challenging but I hope to achieve this by working together with my sister and venturing into new and untapped areas within the maritime sector such as luxury yachting and marine education. Furthermore, I hope that in a primarily male dominated industry such as the marine industry I am able to overcome all challenges and ultimately create a name and niche for myself much like my mother Nafeesa Moloobhoy.
